Tracy Power Objects Conservation is a studio that specializes in museum quality conservation services.
The company is owned and managed by Tracy Power, a graduate school trained conservator of art with almost 30 years of experience. Tracy is a Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation, (AIC) and the services she provides comply with the AIC Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice. As a conservator specializing in objects, she has experience with the conservation of a wide range of materials including ceramic, stone, wood, ivory, plaster, painted objects, and contemporary materials, with a particular emphasis on metal sculpture and artifacts. Conservation services include preservation as well as the repair or restoration of objects. |
Education & TrainingTracy Power earned a Masters of Science and Certificate of Conservation from the Winterthur Museum/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation in 1988, with a specialization in objects. She also earned a BA in Art History from the University of California Berkeley.
Tracy has spent the majority of her career working in private practice. In her private practice she has worked on contract for many museums, local and nationally. She worked on staff at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco for approximately 5 years. Tracy now works primarily for private collectors, but also continues to work for museums, universities, auction houses and galleries. Out of respect for their privacy and the security of their collections, I do not identify my clients. |
